Unspoilt stunning rugged landscapes and ponies roaming free......
We then travelled down the West of Bulgaria, this is another naturally picturesque country, with magnificent mountains and rugged scenery.
We came across a herd of beautiful ponies roaming free on a striking mountain top, after a 5 mile winding drive up.
We stopped just outside Vratsa at the foot of a mountain - more wondrous storks were aplenty.
With 24hours to drive through Bulgaria, due to the vignette, we experienced a small window of what Bulgaria has to offer..... we would like to head back at some point to explore the East coast.
